Student Ministry

The purpose of the UHBC Student Ministry is to empower and encourage students to make an impact in the church, the community, and around the globe for Jesus Christ by living the gospel, loving the city, and being the church.

Youth Group

Sundays 9:15am

Wednesdays 6pm

Students need a safe place to wrestle with issues they are dealing with and have an opportunity to make their family's faith their own.

The UHBC Student Ministry provides a safe place where they can laugh, make mistakes, ask questions, and share each others' burdens as they walk through life together.

They will experience Jesus' love and learn they have been given gifts and talents to be used to glorify God. They are important and have a purpose in the larger body of Christ.

We love partnering with families as students grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

"FOR THE SPIRIT GOD GAVE US DOES NOT MAKE US TIMID, BUT GIVES US POWER, LOVE, AND SELF-DISCIPLINE."

-2 Timothy 1:7-

We encourage students to

Live the gospel

We are called to live the gospel. Students will learn why and how to share the hope of the gospel with their friends. We dig deep into the Bible and learn how it is a unified story that points to Jesus.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes."

-Romans 1:16-

we give students the opportunity to

love the city

We prepare students to love the city, then give them opportunities to show that love. Throughout the year we serve at food and clothing banks, help with children's ministries, and go on missions trips locally, regionally, and internationally.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heard and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."

-Matthew 22:37-39-

We teach students how to

Be the church

Students encourage, support, and serve alongside each other. They build each other up and learn together. This is what being the church is all about.

"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

-Hebrews 10:24-25-
